Weddings & events

One guitar,
one voice

Ceremonies, cocktail hours, and dinner sets across Texas and beyond

The short version

What you're getting

One person, one guitar, no backing tracks. Warm and acoustic — songs people know, plus originals if you want them. If you want your ceremony to feel like a room full of people who love you rather than a production, that's what I'm built for.

Sound is handled

One less vendor

I bring my own PA, enough for rooms up to 200–300 people. All I need is a power outlet. If your venue has a house system and an engineer, I'm glad to run through theirs instead. One less vendor on your list.

How a wedding day runs

Four blocks

  1. 01 · Ceremony

Prelude as guests are seated, your processional, something under the recessional. I handle the cues, so nobody's standing at the end of the aisle waiting on music. I'll walk the order through with you or your coordinator beforehand.

  2. 02 · Cocktail hour

Continuous playing at a volume where people can hear each other. This is where I'm most useful and least noticeable, which is the point.

  3. 03 · Dinner

    Same idea, softer.

  4. 04 · Reception

Recognizable songs, sung along to. Solo acoustic isn't a dance floor, so if you want dancing late, plan on a DJ or a playlist after my set. I'd rather say that now than have you find out at 10pm.

Corporate & private events

Read the room

Cocktail hour and dinner music, background sets during networking, or a focused 45-minute set if you want a moment where people actually stop and listen. I'll keep it clean, keep it at conversation volume, and read the room rather than perform at it. If you need something specific — a walk-on for a speaker, music timed around a program — tell me and we'll work it out.

The practical bits

A short list

  • Most events run one to four hours of coverage. A ceremony alone is about an hour; ceremony through dinner is closer to four. I play roughly 45 minutes on, 15 off, and recorded music covers the gaps.
  • I bring my own PA and cover rooms up to 200–300 people; I just need a corner to set up and power within reach.
  • Cover if it's outdoors and there's weather — shade helps in a Texas summer.
  • I arrive early and dress for your event, not for a bar gig.
  • Based in Austin. Travel quoted separately outside the area, and I'm booking New England and Cape Cod for summer 2027.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Do you provide sound?
Yes — I bring a PA that covers rooms up to 200–300 guests.
How long do you play?
Most events run one to four hours depending on which parts of the day you want covered. I play roughly 45 minutes on and 15 off, with recorded music covering the breaks.
How far do you travel?
Anywhere. I'm Austin-based, I play across Texas and the South, and I'm booking New England and Cape Cod. Travel is quoted separately outside the Austin area.
How far in advance should we book?
The sooner the better for Saturday dates in spring and fall, but always ask — sometimes a date is open.
What does it cost?
It depends on how many hours you want and which parts of the day. Send me your date and venue and I'll come back with a quote.
